This is for anyone who uses Google Chat, or any other chatting mechanism for that matter. Basically all I want is a pop-out window that allows two people to have a side conversation, exclusive of their main conversation. The thing about a text conversation, is that it's often hard to issue non-sequiturs without seeming rude. I'm thinking this would alleviate the problem. Think of it, you're heavy into a debate with your co-worker three floors down about german accounting principles in the 1800's when Dave from Human Resources does something funny. SideChat would look like this:

me: Dave from hr just died.
VanFuckingAwesome: lol

See? And you can keep your german accounting chat going sans interuptus. Please don't ask why Dave from HR dying is funny. You just have to know Dave.
