I'm not talking about using this for personal protection or anything. This is strictly for amusement's sake. Or something. It wouldn't shoot far, it would be just enough to coat a surface.

Let's run down some practical applications: cake and/ or party decoration, and, um, you could cover a kid's hand with cotton candy? I mean, they're gonna get sticky as all get out anyway. Why not just get rid of the stick part? That's wasteful.

I think the physics on this would work. You just add sugar to a revolving cement mixer type-part which fluffs it all up, and then out shoots carnival faire.
