I gots me another idea for a comic book. And this one I'm real excited about.
It's about the people who clean up after superheroes get in big, knockdown, property damaging fights. They clean up debris, make things safe for the rebuilding.
But it's not really about superheroes. It's about the people who do the cleaning. Picture it like Taxi meets The Wire meets Gilmore Girls. I mean, it'll have superheroes in it, but it isn't about them.
Speaking of The Wire, this show needs to get watched more. It's amazing and the way this pace things has had a profound impact on how I want to pace my own stories. It's hard to explain, but just picture a show or a comic book where every scene doesn't have to lead somewhere. At least not as far as the plot is concerned. A lot of it is just letting you bond with the characters.
So again, this comic book is about people associated with superheroes. And you bonding with them.
And I'm going to incorporate the idea of treating each month like an episode and taking December off so each year is a season.
Damn, I have so many cool ideas for the episodes and season arcs.
In the first season, one character gets promoted, one ends up in the hospital, one becomes a criminal, and one gets her own superpowers. There's also an evil robot.
Who doesn't like evil robots?
This may be vague and it might be hard for you to share my excitement, but just be excited that I'm excited. K?

Though I thoroughly appreciate this idea (no, really, I'd read it, I mean I read Strangers in Paradise, and that doesn't even have any superheroes), this is another basketball note for you. I found these articles on Slate and thought you might enjoy them...
