Let the moon rock you to sleep

Have you ever slept on a boat? If not, I think you should.

It's really fun, and really easy to do. I mean, pretty much all you need is a boat. Well, and some water. You could go the houseboat/ Havasu route, or you could the larger yacht-type boat and the bay. Both the previously mentioned boats are totally for rent. And I'm pretty sure you don't need any special license. Just a CDL from whatever state you're in.

Anyway, on to why you should do this. It's VERY relaxing, especially if you can find a spot with gentle little ripples as opposed to waves. Just enough to slightly rock the boat while you hide in the cabin. If you find the right boat, it'll seem like you're a kid again, having faraway pirate adventures. Take all the best parts of camping, and put 'em on some water. Bringing a lantern helps. Man, the way a lantern reflects on water when the only other light source it's competing with is the moon...sooooooooooooo cool.

Anyway, make this happen. It's totally worth it.

One of the best trips I ever had was a three day boat trip through the Whitsunday Islands. We had the choice of sleeping in our bunks below deck or dragging our mattress to the deck. My friend and I slept on the deck every night. Daily showers were meant jumping in the Pacific Ocean for a swim. I'm totally with you on this one.
