In honor of this, I bring you today's idea.
I wonder what prohibits people from partaking in Dungeons and Dragons more frequently. I mean, is it just the stigma of being nerdy? Or do people genuinely think it's not fun?
I think I could probably get a handful of people to play, but it would be more of a novelty thing. It'd be tough to get an ongoing game together.
There have been dice games created for just about every scenario you could imagine. But I don't think there's been one that really appeals to everyone.
So I'm going to take a stab and find one that the people who never play D&D might theoretically want to play. It's a dice game, based on the Real World. Not the real world, but the Real World of MTV fame.
Essentially you get to do all the crazy things they do on the show with none of the consequences or STDs. Sounds fun, right? If you tweaked this enough, I could see it having some appeal. I mean, the Sims and Second Life are really popular and all you do there is walk around and be normal. You could do that in this game. Or you could go apeshit crazy and see how people react.
It might work. It might not. But I wanted today's idea to be about dice games. So there it is, for better or for worse.
