I think it should be illegal for kids to get in cars with people they don't know. They should have to do community service (I don't care if they're 7) and parents should have to pay big fines.
I mean, education is one thing and I really do think most kids know it's a dumb idea to get in a car if they don't know the driver, but let's take it one step further and really nip this thing.
Once the laws are in place you send a few cops out to pretend to pick kids up. If the kids get in, they're busted. You'd only need to do this once for word of kid to spread and everyone would be all afraid.
For the record, I'm not entirely 100% sure how I feel about this idea. I mean, I guess it has potential. Maybe it's not needed? I don't have kids.
