Terminator Glasses

This is probably a bad idea. And I love warning you about things like that.

A set of glasses see, like sun glasses that provide you with additional information about the things that you're looking at. I've seen digital cameras that can adjust light and focus in a photo and I've seen the recognize people.

What I'm thinking is that they could display information for you in discrete ways that are easily removable from your vision if they're in the way or whatever. Like the top right corner could have an icon that told the temp or something but would disappear if there were any movement in that same area so that you'd be able to look.

Also, like in the terminator, other people could be part of this equation. (Here is where I take social networking to the streets.) If people choose to, like through a social networking site, they could display certain facts about themselves that are discernible through these glasses. I'd imagine that if you have a phone with bluetooth it could be set to send out a set of information on a constant signal (things like your name and profession and maybe your whatever you twitter about). The idea being that you could seriously choose how to display this, maybe like stuff you'd want just anyone to see, or stuff that you'd only want friends to see.

But then when people with the glasses walk past you, they do that little terminator framing thing and pop up additional information about the person you're walking past that they would like you to know.

Could be really useful for letting people know you're in a bad mood or a hurry and need to be left alone, or for advertising something. Which is of course why I think this is probably such a bad idea.
