Like D-Day, only really different, only not so much

This requires some specific stuff. You may have it, you may not. But you can certainly get it. I’m certain of that.

Do you remember back in grade school, on Valentine’s Day, you had to get a Valentine for everyone in your class? If you had friends, or liked someone, then you wrote a personal note, or got them a better Valentine. You know, Spider-Man instead of Garfield. That sort of thing. Everyone had a bag that the Valentine’s went into. You walked around the room and dropped them off. Then you looked to see what you got, and to see if Erica Lopez had told you she liked you (which she never did). If there was candy, you ate that. It was good times, nobody was left out.

I think we need to bring this back, office style. If you work in a place with 5-20 people, this is a kickass idea. It’s cheap, it breaks up the monotony, and we all need to be trying a little harder.

I swear, those little Valentine’s that they sell at dug stores in packs of 12 or 24, remain one of the greatest values on the planet. I think they combine that nostalgic feeling with a sweet sentiment, and it goes along way. Duct tape some chocolate to one of those and you can say a lot.
