Hidden cat boxes

I like cats. Mostly, I like everything about them. I don't like smelly cat boxes that require constant maintenance. And I also don't really like the way they, or the halo of litter that inevitably surrounds them, looks.

I haven't figured out a way around the first dislike, other than being diligent in cleaning efforts.

But the second part, I can handle that.

You know those changing screens they had back in the fancy movie days? One of those could be used to hide a box in a corner of the largest room in your house. People tend to stick them in bathrooms, which are already cramped. And not built to hold another piece of equipment like a cat box.

So you could use a screen. Or a slightly-above average height end table. Friends tell me there are even pieces of rather nice furniture designed specifically for this purpose.

There are options here that we can use to address some of the less desirable traits that come along with car ownership. It can be pretty rewarding, so it would be a shame to skip for a few little negatives.
