The Self-Interview

The idea isn't new, I totally stoled it. And yes, I meant "stoled". But the application for which I am suggesting you use it is all me.

The self-interview is you posing questions to yourself, usually in written form like an email or blog, and then answering them. You'd be amazed what comes out. It's kind of a fun way to give updates to your friends and family other than just letting it all spill out in a narrative form. Nothing wrong with doing it that way, this is just a different approach. Some other alternatives might be fake news stories, podcasts, plays, or even the aforementioned trailer idea. It's one step further down the creative road.

How's the post going so far?
Um, ok. It isn't one of my best, but I feel like it's got real potential. I believe in the idea, just having a hard time communicating how and why it is helpful.

Really? It seems like you're doing fine.
Thank you for saying so. But I glossed over the part about how people can use it as a blgo post. Or as a mass email.

People don't seem to send mass emails much anymore.
Yeah, only when they travel, I guess. But blogs are still popular. Folks could use it there.

True. How do you feel about the site in general?
Good. Really, good. Looking back, it doesn't seem like we've accomplished much. But we really have posted a lot of ideas. And it feels good to have our goal so attainable at this point. Back in January, when we said, "let's do it for a year," I didn't really consider how much time that was.

So the best part is that you'll meet your goal?
I think so. And the ideas themselves. A lot of them have been really fun. I'm looking forward to putting some of them in action.

Is that something you're going to do?
I'm pretty sure. We're still figuring it out. But yes, we'd like to incorporate making the ideas come to life into the site next year.

Does that mean we'll get a second year of ideas?
Totally. There'll be some changes, I'm sure. And again, we're figuring all that out as we speak, but we want to keep it going. Add some fresh voices, try some new stuff. Both NowEverybody and I still have passion for the exercise,.
