Babies

I'll understand when this seems strange to people. I'd like, someday a very long time from now, to have babies. And it seems to me, that since the medical science is there, I might as well know if I'm capable of doing so. Or whether I'll encounter any trouble if/when I/we decide to do so. It just seems to me, that even tho this is still a long way off, if something were not possible I'd probably want to know that now instead of when I actually want the little things. Just seems odd that we all wait on finding this sort of thing out, like we want not to think about it until we have to. But for a lot of people that sort of news is devastating. And I'll bet in a large part because they've just stumbled along in their life thinking they'd just say and when and there you have it.

So why not, as part of yearly or so physical, get that stuff tested. Perhaps you'd even see patterns of increased or decreased likelihood of fertility and could sort of anticipate a time at which time is getting slim. Perhaps it seems odd to think about these things at all. But I sort of feel like with all the bizarre chemicals in the air and laptops on our laps (indeed, right now as I type) that such abilities may be becoming embattled or endangered. And you know, why not have more information?

And if it isn't your lot you have plenty of time to concern yourself otherwise. Just seems like a mistake to run ahead assuming and place such great importance on something you know nothing about.

But still...a long long long time from now.
