Pet? Agree!

Idea: have non-traditional pet.

Caveats: try to keep it legal. try to make it new. nothing lame.

So I'm thinking that you should be looking for potentially cuddly animals here. This isn't, oh my horny toad and snake are excellent pets. They are not. At least not for the sake of this idea. This idea is about the joy of furry animals and the unknown potential joy of furry animals we don't tend to keep around. Chances are this is going to mean you will be letting a slightly less than fully domesticated animal into your home. So try not to have kids if you choose to follow up on this idea.

I can't say this is going to work. But remember when everyone had to have a pig? Yes. But don't get a pig. Get something more interesting like a raccoon, or a squirrel, or a sheep. I dunno. Another key to making this idea work is not getting a pet as part of a fad, but really learning about the animal and its needs. To be a good pet owner you, say, need to understand that your raccoon is going to eat your garbage and probably claw you in the face. So don't get mad, understand that that is a unique quality of the species. I guess all I mean to say is choose carefully. But really get out there and see if you can't find one of nature's other furry creations to snuggle with. It might take a lot of work, but if you can get a fox curled up in your lap and purring you will certainly thank me for it.
