This isn't an original idea, per se. I mean, I didn't discover the chemistry of it or anything.
But since I've only encountered it in one place, and no one I know does it, it may hit your eyes in an original way.
Unless you've made a pretty serious life choice, you shave some part of your body on a regular basis. This idea is a way to make the razors you use to accomplish that shaving last even longer. (If you are old school and use a knife which you sharpen with a leather belt, please discontinue reading. You are rad and I would like to meet you.)
The idea is to store the razor blades in a bit of vodka, just enough so the blade is covered. See, the reason we have to replace the blades is because of the rust and corrosion that occurs when the blade gets wet. We don't see it, but it happens, and the blades get dull. Somehow (Magic? Science? God? No one knows!) the vodka keeps this from happening as quickly and you're blade will last about 4 times longer.*
Pros to this idea: Saves money, less waste for the earth.
Cons: Waste of vodka.
*Please reread paragraph four and note the number of times I used the word "blade". And that is why I will never be a famous righter**.
**Unlike most of the typos on this page, that was intentional.
