Double-penned Edge

I had toyed with the idea of fleshing out a friendship "raffle" idea where you would put the names of however many friends you wanted in a hat and then select one to whom you would write a letter. That idea may still be good, but it has been stagnant long enough that I'm including it here as a bonus. You'll need it though, or some other mechanism, to determine where today's actual idea will go.

Today's idea is to write someone a story. It doesn't need to be one that is about them, or a literary version of them, or has anything to do with them. It simply should be that you sit down to pen this story exclusively for this person. If they were to share it with others, so be it, but it is for them. I truly think that is one positive way in which creativity can be mustered. Writing, or creating, for ones self seems wildly selfish, and doing the same for the masses is nigh-impossible. But taking one deserving audience member and putting some energy into them seems to be just the right balance to get some good results.

It's like making someone a present. The end result will probably not be what you imagined, but it will most likely be good. And if isn't good it will always bear its flaws honestly.

There is much to say here, outside of the ideas we throw out, and we are working on a place to share these thoughts and pieces of news. That sentence is nearly worthless, since it is the exact sort of thing we would put in this theoretical place. But if this blurb gets you even a little bit excited for what is to come, then yay. And if not, don't worry, I don't even understand what I just wrote.
