Your typical presciption bottle features the name of your doctor and the number of your pharmacy. But, if you're standing there holding the bottle and have a question, couldn't it really be for either one? It might be for your pharmacy, but if it's serious enough, it'll be for your doc.
So the idea is to put the doctor's phone number on there. Pretty simple. And those magical computer thingies should be able to handle that quick snap. No trouble there, I wouldn't think.
This saves the pharmacy from having to field calls from people asking, "Yeah, can you remember that specific detail from my medical history that you don't have or can you give me the number for my doctor which you also don't have?"
The hard part would be having people decide who they need to call, pharm or doctor, but at least now they have the option to do both.
