Wow. Two clothes posts in a row. How exciting for you! Or not.
Back to this whole wedding thing, and how, and I feel comfortable using this word, bogged down it is in tradition. Now some people get pretty creative with what they wear. I've seen kilts and stormtrooper outfits and lots in between. I have not beef with those fanciful people.
But if your answer to the question, "Why are you wearing a tux/ white dress?" is "Because", then maybe you need to give it a little more thought. I'm not saying you shouldn't wear the typical formal wear, but is what you want? Do you want to wear flip flops instead of uncomfortable shoes? How about a hat? Do you want to wear a classy hat that your grandfather gave you? Do it.
Maybe you fell in love with your soon to be spouse during a movie and you want to pay your respects to that particular cinematic moment. Now, of course, this is harder if it was A Bug's Life.
Anyway, you get the idea, no pun intended.

I knew through association a girl who wore a 12 dollars red vintage dress to her wedding. And she had an "Old Style" tattoo. Ask your midwestern friends.
