Another 24 hours

The title to this post is grossly misleading. Especially the "another" part, but also the "24 hours" part. In reality, it's more like 16 hours, and this is the first one.

What you'll be doing is taking yourself to a park, downtown area, or otherwise central hub and staying in that place from 6 am to 10 pm. You'll want to bring food, layered clothing, some board games, at least one other person, and the knowledge that you've sent an email to the rest of your friends telling them to drop by. The plan is to just go post somewhere and observe everything around you.

Maybe you could bring a recorder and interview folks all NPR style. Or perhaps you could take pictures. Write some thoughts down. What you do with all this info is entirely up to you. I think a coffee table book that incorporated some audio elements would be rad. You could probably make that happen with a little DIY ingenuity.

This would take some willpower. To know that you're going to stick it out in whatever location you choose. You've also got to dedicate a whole day to this. See? Who told you you were afraid of comittment?

You'll no doubt she crazy people, happy people, sad ones, tall ones, etc. Some you may find out about, others you'll have to invent your own story about. It'll be fun. Plomise.
