Team Resume - Work Clusters

This is the closest I will probably ever get to a sports post and it is not a sports post. But I will take a page from the ol' team playbook here. What if people started marketing themselves for job and other things as groups, partners or teams? I know the world isn't generally set up this way. But lets just dream here a second...

Say I know that Messenger and I work really well together. Say we think there is something about our unique combination that is not only made up of two rad individuals but is multiplied by our working together. Well then, maybe we could put together a resume and sell ourselves as a pair.

As I envision this it could work for all types and sizes of groups. I mean, contractors basically do this already, coming to a project and saying my team can do this, here are the highlights of our badassness.

But I'd like to see this brought to all walks of life. I mean, even my terrible job could potentially be done by a team. Say there were five of us and there was a new team needing to form. What a boon to a company to know that they already have a set of people that have hammered out their personal relationships and know how to work together.

So I can't for the life of me use the phone. But I don't put that on resumes cause it isn't a selling point. Well if I was on a team before I had a job, they would no this particular fault and know not to rely on my for that. And they would fill the role with someone else, instead of asking me without knowing my skills to fill such a role.

And hey presto they get the benefit of a totally effective team and I get the benefit of working with people I like.

Done.
