This is the first of two posts with this title. This is the silly one. The next one will be the serious one.
Last night Ciana said "Botero" and I heard "Tarot" and then we put the two together. Botero is the guy who draws the fatness of the world. Not just people, everything. Animals, buildings, things of all sorts. He makes everything plump, rounded. He sweetens the world with it.
And what I want him to do is make a tarot deck. I don't know too much about tarot decks, but I do know that, for me at least, they are all about reading, all about applying an interpretation on a visual system. And of course applying the interpretation through the system of cards that are pulled, 3, twelve, however many. Storytelling really.
And why I think Botero should make a deck is because I feel like the visual queues in the cards color the interpretations even alone side of despite the content of the cards. So, Botero's joy, for instance would radiate through the world of the deck. And consequently all predictive readings with the deck would necessarily be colored, tainted and biased in this--what I consider--very positive way.
And there you go. Another instance of my trying to make life better through improving divination devices......
Really?
Oh, well.
