RIP, "I went through all that for nothing."

"I went through all that for nothing."

I hate that phrase. It's the anti-me. And I want it dead. That's the idea for today. Stop saying it. Stop thinking it. Those words, in that combination, are hereby banished, 1984 style.

The thing is, no experience is worth NOTHING. If you keep your wits about you, there's always something you can learn. Some little tidbit of experience or personal knowledge to take with you into the great tomorrow.

I think it just conveys a bad attitude. I'm not one for ridiculous and unabashed positive thinking, but I do think your general attitude affects how the day treats you. And getting rid of the notion that any experience, good or bad, could ever be wasted is my tiny little effort at trying to make sure your today is better than yesterday.
