You know how you always hear that Shakespeare had a vocabulary of like soo many words? And how it always sounds really impressive, but then you remember that you have no idea how many words anyone else knows and you're sure that Shakespeare coined a bunch of those anyways which totes doesn't count.
So I want a word counter that counts unique instances of words and catalogs them for you (along with including definitions). I think someone could built a program for your computer really easily that would add any new work you typed in any text box to this dictionary document (and then you know queried dictionary.com for the meaning or something).
And then you could find all sorts of neat facts out about your word use. Like that you only use about a 10,000 work vocab when writing emails or otherwise online. But that when you right in word documents (like for paper or stories) that you have a 50,000 word vocab or something.
It would just be really rad.
The alternative to this is just to keep an interesting words list for yourself. But that really isn't quite the same thing is it?
