Bugs

I don't think we use bugs, insects, and animals in general to help us out with our day to day to lives in this country. I'm not talking about a full-scale Flintstones' style set-up, but something between that and what we have now would be good. Worms can help compost things, mules can pull carts (in cases where we're using a gas powered vehicle), and I bet there are some crazy microorganisms that can do all kinds of fun stuff. Other countries seem to make more use out of these sorts of partnerships, sometimes it seems, out of need.

I guess this is a bit of a cop out, since I don't have a great strategy for enacting this idea, but there it is.

Oh, how about this: When we start talking about sustainable resources, let's consider advantageous relationships with the creepy crawlies. There might be some good helpers out there that we're missing.
