Do one thing today, and then do it forever

I contend that all the bad things in the world come from little negligences and their connections to everything else that ever was. This isn't a new thought and I know I've probably hammered on it in different ways before.

For today, I'll suggest that you think about one thing you do that is connected to something larger you don't like. Or maybe the other way around would work too. Think about something that you really hate in the world and then find a tiny thing you do that is even vaguely related to that.

So maybe you hate litter or you hate anger. And maybe you spit out your gum into the bushes or the occasional gutter. And you get angry when someone cuts you off on the road.

Well. Stop. Stop today. And then never do it again.

And then tomorrow, or next week, think about something else you don't like about the world and a way in which you're contributing to it and then cut it out.

I mean, eventually it has to stop being little things. And you see that your gas usage is exactly why there are wars in countries where there is oil and why the world is falling apart. And then you have to stop using gas at all. Cause it is the fact that no one is willing to stop. What if you found a way of stopping?

But start with the little things and don't ever expect to see results. That's how you know it is working.
