Cross Genre Book Club

I'm going to say with assurance that not all of your friends like the same books. I'll go so far as to say that some of your friends probably don't care a lick for books. What I'm purposing is that you start a book club with friends with radically different, or at least different, taste. And read the books. And meet and discuss them.

One assumes that it might be a bit of an awkward gathering if one half of the room, or only a single person in said room, actually enjoyed the book they had to slog through. But one would also hope the friends can be cordial and ask each other why on earth they would read such trash fiction. And the idea is that the person who likes it might have some fairly salient and reasonable reasons. And this is a forum for them to tell their side of the story. And similarly it is forum in which people can object with enough knowledge to make a specific case if they don't enjoy something. Clearly civility would be really sticky point here. But I'm sure we could all come together and respectfully disagree.
