French press for water

I just went hiking, so this one is fresh in my brain area.

It's a nalgene sized water bottle with a french press still filter. So you fill the thing from the bottom (which screws off) and then turn it over and press the filter down through the creek water which cleans it up so you can drink it.

Now, the press would have to be sealed, otherwise some of that potentially infected water would get into you. Which is what we're trying to avoid.

Why bother? Because this way you don't need to carry a water pump if you're just worried about drinking water for yourself. And it won't taste like iodine, which I found gross. Some people say it isn't that bad.

I hate some people.
