Type Acting

You'll need to know what your motivation is, though I suppose that's largely for you and your partner in this exercise to determine.

Come up with a plot in which two people would be writing letters to each other. Someone's traveling, there's a war going on, etc. Whatever you like. Then you pick who those people are. Give them names, a little background as to how they know each other, maybe imagine their physical features.

Now, email each other as those characters. You could be hardcore and send real letters if you wanted to, but, ew, stamps are gross.

So you're basically acting in a play in which there are no lines, and no story, other than what you decide to make of it. High drama? All yours. A deep and pointed love affair? Have at it.

You're just going along, but you should try to keep it entertaining. I mean, you are acting after all.

I think this is an awesome way to stretch your creative muscles. It's something little kids would be great at, and they don't know anything, so we adults should totally be able to beat them at it.

And also, this is one more thing you can do at work that isn't tmz.com.
