Blogs

Blogs are cool. We have one. It's alright.

I'm gonna talk more about the kind of blog that's written by an already famous person. It seems like most celebrities have one these days, and it's used as nothing more than a marketing tool. I get it though. Not everyone wants to publish their opinions, or has opinions, or whatever.

But check it out, you don't have to publish your thoughts if you don't want to. You could however use all that celebrity to draw attention to some issues you're keen on exploring. Like, if Morgan Freeman had a blog about the environment where he just linked to other articles (which someone could totally research for him) and then wrote a quick few sentences about it, that would be awesome.

But my idea isn't for celebrities to blog about social issues. It's actually for companies to pay them to do it. So like, Visa would sponsor Brad Pitt's blog about global humanitarian stuff. The celebrity gets the money, exposure, and forum to do some good, the company gets the exposure and celebrity bump, and the issue gets the attention. Winner for everyone right?

Me and number one homeboy were talking about how celebrity endorsements don't do much these days. I feel like this would be a way to bring some credibility back to it.
