The inside of chairs

I'm looking at a chair. Not a recliner and not a kitchen chair.

One of those more fancy looking ones with wood accents.

But underneath the cushion appears to be a large empty space that serves no purpose. And if you read this blog with any regularity you know we aren't a fan of useless spaces. Unless of course they're designed on purpose.

But why can't we throw a little storage box beneath the cushion? Seems easy. Maybe more expensive, sure, but what isn't expensive these days?

Eff it. I'm going to get a knife and and some wood and fix this damn chair myself. Gotta start somewhere.
