Simplicity for the summer. And this is a good time for it. If you have happen to live in a summer storm climate you can practice this idea any afternoon and most likely do already. We Californians might very well have to wait until some time in the Fall to get a good sess of this in.
I would like you to stand out in the rain. I mean, really get out there and get completely soaking. And no fair putting on rain gears. T-shirt and jeans. And soaked. I mean in that fully sort of tight camera lens, screaming into the sky about how Pacino killed your daddy, sort of Hollywood way. Hollywood stereotypes may be silly, hackneyed and overused, but sometimes they have a point.
And the point of this idea is to embrace the hell out of it. There is something about letting oneself get completely soaked that has precisely that kernel of H-wood truth. This is both the complete giving to the size of the world and its power and at the same time just standing there and not going anywhere. Is that a dialectic or something? I'm sure whatever synthesis comes out of that is pretty badass is all. So how's about it? Don't let another rain day pass you by.
By the bye, bonus points if you get incredibly muddy doing something frivolously sporty.
