I think there is a lot of untapped potential contained within the internet. That, I suppose, goes without saying. But now that it has been said, let's proceed.
My thought today is for a destination website that will facilitate a family or friendly reunion. As we get more and more spread out from our loved ones, it seems logical to turn to the intertubes to solve it. Or at least to help. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever replace the human interaction gained from being in the same room with someone. I think relationships can exist over the phone and via email or chat rooms (which are insanely boring, incidently) but they will be totally different from one where you actually get to see the other person in the flesh.
Moving on. This website would be a tool for families to interact quickly, and with some level of quality. So, it would have webcam ability if the machines are fancy enough to handle it. There would be a TV function where one person held the remote and controlled what everyone else saw on their browser. You could include a feature that allowed you to talk, or just a group chat room type thing. But those are kind of lame, so it would be better if you could talk to someone. Think of it as an electronic living room. There could be a radio, again with one person manning the controls. I'm trying to think of a way to incorporate food...but maybe anyone taking advantage of it could coordinate for everyone to prepare the same thing.
This may be a little silly but I think if someone had the time, the access, and the desire to visit with friends a bit more often, then this could be really helpful.
