Dump

I'll start this by saying that I'm wrong about a lot of things. And I won't disclude the following. I think people should visit their local dump. I guess the primary reason is that I think you should have to see where the stuff goes and have a real visceral knowledge of that smell and that air. I know it sucks, but it is what the world is like. I also feel like there is probably a reason for you to go to the dump sometime, not just to experience it. But like, you could probably save some money by hauling a couple of your larger trashy items there. Or go and get your recycling done yourself, like really first hand. Obvs no one wants to do this, but I've been to dumps and I feel like until you have you don't really get that this is how our culture works. Our distance from that scares me.

That or just read DeLillo's Underworld. You can choose weather slogging through a thousand heady pages is really better than slogging through trash.
