Neck charm

I did this for Christmas and gave the gift to who I wanted to give it to, so now I feel like I can post it here.

It's a pretty simple idea.

Take a Scrabble tile (you can order them online, or just buy a $10 version of the game for the extras) and drill a horizontal hole with the tiniest drill bit you can find. You have to go slow and make sure it's straight or you'll crack the tile, but it's pretty easy.

Then all you have to do is thread an actual necklace through the hole. They sell a cord at craft stores you can use. Or use string or a small shoelace. I like the cord for a chic professional look. Or something.

It makes a pretty cute and inexpensive gift.

Alt version: If the hole is giving you trouble, you can buy really tiny brass eye hooks and put those in through the top. It's not quite as a clean a look as if you just did the horizontal hole, but it totally works.
