Did you hear the news? A bunch of gay people are gonna get legally married.
Which is awesome. I'm slightly concerned about what happens when the state of California votes on whether or not to keep those marriages valid and allow more of them.
I heard a lesbian couple on the news the other day saying they were planning a ceremony and that they were confident the initiative would pass (mostly because their friends would all vote for it).
I have my doubts as to whether it will pass or not. California kind of sucks sometimes when it comes to votes like this. What's my point?
My idea is for the gay and lesbian community to direct some of this attention being paid to the weddings toward convincing people they should vote in November. And convincing them which way to vote as well. It's gonna be close and it's definitely gonna take work to make it happen. So go make it happen gay people!
