Video Chat World

This is a call back to the very first post about sidelining chats. (I'm on a role with internet themed posts that I soon hope to stop.) But it is about video chats. Group video chats.

Firstly I want there to be group video chats in which (in interesting ways) you get to see many people who are all talking to you live. Perhaps this exists, perhaps not. I don't really care.

But once we have that, I want to be able to have sidebar conversations like you could have in real life, leaning to your side and whispering something funny to your neighbor. But you could actually do it over a separate channel. Like the group you would go on pause and you could say something just to one or two people and then come back to the group (meanwhile still hearing the main group).

Just think of this as a way to recreate a meeting type situation over video chat. But one that uses some of the capabilities of the internet (the fact that you aren't actually in a space that defines who your 'neighbors' in a discussion are).

Yes!
